KEY FEATURES Small wedge-shaped, silvery leaves are tinged pinkish red when young and provide a vibrant colour contrast.
Small purple flowers, appearing throughout winter and spring, attract nectar feeding birds.
GROWING CONDITIONS Suited to full sun or semi shaded positions.
Tolerant of a range of soil types and thrives in free draining coastal sands as well as difficult limestone soils.
PLANT CARE Fertilise with a low phosphorus, slow release fertiliser.
Mulch well to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds.
Pruning encourages a flush of the brightly coloured new growth.
